All aboard the Metromover Soul Train

Dozens of riders to show off their moves to the beat of a silent dance

(Miami, June 4, 2015) – Dust off your dancing shoes and head on down to the Metromover tonight for a silent dance like no other.

Join the Arts and Entertainment District of Greater Downtown Miami at the School Board Metromover Station at 7 p.m. for a night of funky tunes. Community members and visitors alike are invited to enjoy a silent dance with headphones provided by Silent Revolution MIA and beats from Myke Dilla, Element, and Tillery James.

Those who wish to participate on the silent dance on board the Metromover ‘Soul Train’ first will need to make reservations to pick up the headphones at CANVAS, located 90 NE 17 St., near the Arts and Entertainment District.

Local collaborator Buskerfest has coordinated live bands at the School Board, Bayfront Park and College North Metromover stations for attendees to enjoy live and local music.

The ‘Soul Train’ ride will end with a lively “Motown Getdown” after party at CANVAS. If you don’t make it to the Soul Train on time, you are still welcome to join the after party.

The Arts and Entertainment District is a walkable, bikable, ‘urban village’ in close proximity to public transportation. This event is geared toward promoting the use and growth of public transportation.
Those who wish to participate in tonight’s ‘Soul Train’ silent dance, and the after party, will need to RSVP at AEDistrictMiami.Eventbrite.com. More information about the event is also provided at this website.

For general transit information, the public can download the free Miami-Dade Transit Tracker app, or visit the website. Riders also can register to receive Rider Alerts by registering online. Likewise, transit information is available via Facebook and Twitter.
