How do I turn in my vote by mail ballot?

Vote by mail ballots must be returned as follows:
  • By Mail: A vote by mail ballot may be returned via the United States Postal Service. It must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day. Postage is paid for you during countywide elections. A stamp is not required.  You must sign inside the red box on the back of the certificate envelope.
    • The envelope must be received at the Elections Department building no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, postmarked dates will NOT be honored.
  • Dropped off at any Early Voting Locations during the hours of operation via Secure Ballot Intake Station (Vote by Mail Drop Box).
  • In Person:
    Miami-Dade Elections Department
    2700 NW 87th Avenue, Doral

On Election Day, your vote by mail ballot can only be turned in at the Elections Department.  Precincts on Election Day are not drop off locations for vote by mail ballots.

If you can opt to vote in person at your precinct on Election Day, the election board must confirm that your vote by mail ballot has not been received. If the election board cannot determine whether your vote by mail ballot has been received, you may vote using a provisional ballot.
