Mail ballots are mailed to voters approximately 40 days prior to each countywide election, provided that a current request is already on file. The deadline to request a vote by mail ballot is 5 p.m. on the 12th day before an election. The Elections Department must receive the vote by mail ballot request by 5 p.m. Please note that a postmarked vote by mail ballot request is not valid.
