Marta M. Casas-Celaya

Marta M. Casas-Celaya is director of External Affairs for Comcast and leads the company’s governmental, regulatory, and community affairs in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. She previously worked in Comcast’s Palm Beach County/Treasure Coast market, where she launched and administered the company's signature digital adoption initiative, Internet Essentials, and subsequently launched the Comcast’s first digital adoption program for seniors and first Internet

Essentials program for public housing residents. During her tenure with Comcast, she has designed, co-designed, launched and/or supported more than 100 digital adoption/literacy/inclusion grant programs, totaling more than $3 million in South Florida investments by Comcast, and co-authored grants that will result in investments of approximately $40 million in government funds to expand broadband networks to underserved areas throughout Florida.
 

Prior to Comcast, Marta was BellSouth’s Florida spokesperson and director of Regulatory and External Affairs. She also served as communications consultant for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), was vice president of the Miami multicultural public relations firm, The Pantin Partnership, and directed Public Affairs and Community Relations for Citibank Florida. 

Marta’s credentials include a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Miami, bachelor degrees in communication and international relations from Florida International University, and professional accreditation from the Public Relations Society of America.
