County services resuming Friday, Oct. 11
After cautionary measures were taken in preparation for Hurricane Milton, Miami-Dade County offices and services resume normal operations Friday, Oct. 11.
The order for the Miami-Dade County Declaration of Local State of Emergency was canceled on Oct. 10, 2024.
Animal Services
- All public spay/neuter surgeries scheduled through Friday, Oct. 11 at the Doral facility will be rescheduled to a later date
- The Wellness on Wheels (WOW) Mobile Veterinary Unit will resume services on Tuesday, Oct. 15
Libraries
- All library branches will reopen Friday, Oct. 11 except for the Bay Harbor Islands Branch Library at the Morris N. Broad Community Center
Miami International Airport
- Passengers should confirm flight status with their airline
Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces
- All Miami-Dade parks and park facilities, including marinas, reopened at noon, Thursday, Oct. 10
- Zoo Miami will reopen on Friday, Oct. 11
- Our beaches, Crandon and Haulover, opened Thursday, Oct. 10. Lifegaurds are on duty to keep you safe.
PortMiami
- PortMiami is open. Passengers should check with their cruise lines for updated itineraries
Solid Waste Management
- Garbage collection services previously scheduled on Thursday, Oct. 10 will occur on the next regular service day – Monday, Oct. 14
- Recycling not collected on Thursday, Oct. 10 will be collected on Saturday, Oct. 12. Please ensure your blue recycling carts are out at the curb no later than 7 a.m. if this is your recycling pickup date
Transit
- Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover are running on a normal schedule
Report Damage
Miami-Dade Emergency Management has activated the Damage Assessment Survey tool to assess storm damage and connect those impacted with additional resources. Submit a detailed damage report or download the Ready Miami-Dade App for iPhone or Android.
Price Gouging
The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office has activated the Price Gouging Hotline. Call 305-547-3300 to report any suspicion of price gouging.
