Miami-Dade County Animal Services and the Public Library System launch the second annual Presents for Pets donation drive
Help bring cheer to homeless pets this holiday season during your holiday shopping by buying and donating pet beds, toys, and other essential items for shelter pets
Today, Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department (Animal Services) - in collaboration with the Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS) - launched the second annual Presents for Pets donation drive for our community’s shelter pets. Starting today, through January 31, 2023, donations will be collected at numerous Miami-Dade County facilities, including select public libraries. Our county’s homeless pets need treats and toys to keep them entertained and enriched, as well as blankets and pet beds to keep them warm and cozy while they wait for their fur-ever families this holiday season.
Animal Services and MDPLS are asking families to drop off gifts to show their support for our furry friends. Additionally, these gifts help provide needed supplies to pet parents taking care of shelter animals through our foster program.
“Donating pet beds, blankets, toys and treats to our shelter pets is a great way to make a direct positive impact on the day-to-day life of our shelter pets,” said Bronwyn Stanford, Animal Services Director.
Donation bins will be available at the Animal Services Pet Adoption and Protection Center at 3599 NW 79 Avenue, Doral, FL 33122 and at the Stephen P. Clark Center at 111 NW 1st Street Miami, FL 33128.
