Miami-Dade County to break ground on Phase II of Naranja Grand, new affordable housing community in South Dade
On Thursday, July 11, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Miami-Dade County District 9 Commissioner Kionne McGhee will break ground on Phase II of Naranja Grand, a new affordable housing development in the area of Southwest Miami-Dade. Naranja Grand II is the second phase of a two-phase development, which addresses the need for affordable and workforce housing in Miami-Dade County.
Naranja Grand II will be an 8-story residential building that will offer 200 apartments for income-qualifying residents who earn at or below 22, 30, 60 and 70 percent of the area median income (AMI). Residents will enjoy an array of amenities including a spacious multipurpose community room with a catering kitchen, a swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor recreational areas, and the internet café. The property will feature energy-efficient lighting and appliances certified by the National Green Building Standard.
The first phase of Naranja Grand began construction in January 2024, and caters to seniors ages 55 and older. Naranja Grand II is expected to be completed in late 2025. Leasing will begin in the summer of 2025.
