UHealth, Jackson Health System and Miami-Dade County to announce major collaboration that will impact thousands of people
The University of Miami Health System (UHealth), Jackson Health System (Jackson), and Miami-Dade County are announcing a first-of-its-kind marketing partnership to showcase and promote greater access to the hub where our local healthcare providers are developing and delivering cutting-edge patient care through state-of-the-art health technologies and applications.
The leaders from these organizations, including Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, will hold a ceremony on July 12, 2024, at 9 a.m., just outside the faregates of the former Civic Center Metrorail Station.
With an annual ridership of more than 13.4 million on Metrorail, 90,000 annual boardings at this station, and hundreds of thousands of pedestrians and motorists in close proximity each year, officials expect this announcement will have wide ranging impact.
The agreement will generate a new funding stream for the Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) during its 20-year term. Details will be announced at the event.

Commissioner Keon Hardemon, District 3
Dr. Dipen Parekh, Chief Operating Officer, UHealth-University of Miami Health System
