Miami-Dade County Animal Services has extended weekend hours to boost adoptions Extended hours aim to help find homes for over 600 pets in need
Miami-Dade County Animal Services (Animal Services) is excited to announce effective immediately they have extended their weekend operating hours to better serve the community and help more pets find homes. The shelter will now be open from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, providing additional opportunities for potential adopters to visit and meet the dogs and cats in their care.
Animal Services currently has more than 600 dogs and cats available for adoption, and this schedule change is intended to make it easier for families to visit the shelter. Whether someone is looking for a puppy, an older dog, a kitten, or a senior cat, the shelter offers pets of all sizes, ages, and breeds waiting for their forever homes. You are sure to find a perfect match with the wide variety of shelter pets available for adoption.
All adoptable pets at Miami-Dade County Animal Services are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, ready to join new families. The shelter encourages anyone considering adoption to visit during the new weekend hours.
For those unable to adopt, Animal Services offers other ways you can help and get involved, including fostering pets, volunteering, or donating to support the care of the animals in their care.
