ITC hosts inbound delegation from Guatemala
The Miami-Dade County International Trade Consortium (ITC) was pleased to organize a high-level visit for a delegation from Guatemala, featuring key representatives from AGEXPORT Guatemala and various sectors within the service industries. This visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase Miami-Dade County’s robust trade and logistics network, highlighting how Miami serves as a vital hub for global business, particularly in trade, transportation, and economic development.
The delegation participated in a series of briefings, including presentations from leaders at PortMiami, Miami International Airport (MIA), and the Miami-Dade Beacon Council. These sessions provided valuable insights into the region’s world-class logistics infrastructure, which facilitates efficient international trade across diverse industries. Representatives from PortMiami and MIA offered detailed overviews of the ports' operations, including their capabilities in handling cargo from Latin America and other global markets. The Beacon Council discussed Miami's growing role as a center for innovation, finance, and international commerce, emphasizing the business opportunities that exist within the city’s dynamic economy.
The discussions also focused on opportunities for Guatemalan businesses to engage with the Miami market, covering sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, technology, and services. Miami’s unique position as a gateway to Latin America offers abundant opportunities for business expansion, particularly for companies looking to connect with U.S. markets and beyond. The event underscored the importance of international collaboration in driving economic growth, fostering trade, and building long-lasting business relationships between the two regions.
ITC extends its sincere thanks to Miami’s Trade Commissioner of Guatemala, Natalia Samayoa, for her support in organizing and coordinating the visit. Her efforts were crucial in ensuring the success of this delegation’s engagement with Miami’s key trade and business organizations.
This visit further strengthens the partnership between Miami-Dade County and Guatemala. ITC looks forward to working together with Consulate General of Guatemala and other international partners to continue driving trade, investment, and innovation between both regions.
