Fatal Shooting Leaving One Dead
MIAMI-DADE ( April 08, 2025 )–
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) South District deputies responded to a local park located around SW 141 Avenue & SW 264 Street in reference to a shooting.
According to investigators, deputies arrived and identified an adult male lying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and airlifted the victim in critical condition to a nearby hospital.
Further investigation revealed that the victim was playing sports when he was involved in a verbal altercation with the subject. The altercation escalated when the subject produced a firearm and shot the victim and then fled in an unknown direction.
MDSO Homicide Bureau is actively investigating the incident.
