Construction Projects with Existing Water or Sewer Connection

If you have a property that had water service to it provided by the Water and Sewer Department, but for some reason the meter was removed, you must have a water meter set on the existing service. This assumes there are no changes proposed to the existing use of the property.
To set the meter, submit the following documents in person:
Property owner's information
Name
Mailing address
Social Security number or Federal Tax Identification number
Daytime phone number
Property information
Project address
A legal description of the property
The folio number(s) of the property. This can be obtained by searching the County's property records at on the Property Appraiser's website
Type and/or number of existing units on the property
More information and supporting documentation may be required.
In order to receive water service from the Water and Sewer Department, once a water service line is in place, you must have a water meter set at your property.
All water and/or sewer facilities installed as per the service agreement must be fully conveyed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the service agreement before any water meters can be set.

Project name and address
Service Agreement ID number
A legal description of the property
The folio number(s) of the property. This can be obtained by searching the County's property records at on the Property Appraiser's website
If this project is anything other than a single-family home, you must also submit a copy of the approved building construction plans and building permit.
Fees are calculated at the time of the request.
