• When do I need to contact Animal Services to update my pet account?

  You can now update your pet’s account online by submitting an update or closed pet account service request.

  Keeping your pet’s account information current ensures we can reunite you with a lost pet and helps prevent citation errors. Use the online form to update the following pet owner contact information:

  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Residential address (within Miami-Dade County only – PO Boxes are not accepted)

  Any other changes, such as the following, cannot be submitted online and must be handled by email, mail or in person:

  • Pet owner name corrections or changes
  • Transfer of ownership
  • Pet name or dog name corrections
  • Incorrect or missing information on the account not related to contact info

  Please email [email protected] or submit in person or by mail.

• How do I close my pet account?

  You can close your pet’s account online if they are no longer in your care.

  Why do you wish to close the pet account?

  • Pet died
  • Gave away the pet
  • Pet is missing
  • Pet moved out of Miami-Dade County
