Free computer training courses and computer repair classes are available for income-eligible residents. Skills learned through the program help with improving office skills, job attainment and advancement.
Computer Literacy is provided to individuals who want to develop marketable skills, increase earning potential and enhance personal development.
Intermediate classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday and basic courses are offered Tuesday through Friday at the following Community Resource Centers:

Joseph Caleb/Liberty City
Miami Gardens
Naranja
Perrine
Training includes an introduction to computer systems, hardware, software and operating systems, as well as instruction with programs like Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion in the area of concentration. Assistance with job placement is available to graduates.
Eligibility:
You must be a Miami-Dade County resident
You must be at least 18-years-old
You must have a high school diploma or GED
Your income cannot exceed 125 percent of the federal poverty income guidelines
Courses include:
Data entry
Creating and updating files
Computer terminology
Keyboarding pro (typing)
Word processing
Professional development training
Learn to build a computer, install software and set up a network. On-site job developers work with trainees to help enhance job skills and provide job placement referrals.
Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion in the area of concentration. Assistance with job placement is available to graduates.
Training is provided at the Accion Community Resource Center.

You must be at least 18-years-old
You must have a high school diploma or GED
You must have knowledge of computers and electronics
You must type a minimum of 25 words per minute
Your household income cannot exceed 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines
