There are six courses in Miami-Dade County operated by the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department.- Book a tee time online for any of Miami-Dade Park's six golf courses.
If you have mobility impairment and would like to use a Single Rider Cart at another Miami-Dade County Golf Course, the cart can be transported there with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Contact the Golf Course Manager to make arrangements. Miami-Dade Parks Single Rider Golf Carts can only be used at Miami-Dade County Golf Courses.- Palmetto Mini Golf

Tennis and Racquetball
Miami-Dade Parks has over 50 locations with more than 200 courts to serve every corner of the County. Depending on which center you choose, courts may be lighted for night play; you may take professional or group lessons; join leagues for tournament play; have your racquet restrung or buy equipment.Walking Clubs
Walking is one of the most aerobic sports, and is widely promoted for its cardiovascular benefits, improved circulation, stress release, calorie burning (weight loss) and overall boost to mental and physical energy levels while improving your health and self-esteem.Walking offers the same cardiovascular benefits that can be received from running. Participants can get an aerobic workout by simply putting one foot in front of the other and enjoying the magnificent scenery within the Miami-Dade Parks System!

Leagues play throughout the year. Children as young as 3 years old can play; other divisions continue through and include adults, ages 18 years and older.
Soccer

Most Miami-Dade County pools have summer swim teams. This is a great way for children to be introduced to the sport of swimming in a low key competitive setting. Miami-Dade Parks swim teams stress stroke improvement, team building and fun. The summer swim team season is highlighted by the Countywide Swimming Champion Meet at Tamiami Pool in August.

Tamiami Pool is home of the Metro Aquatic Club, a year round community based organization which recruits young swimmers on a Countywide basis, trains them for a modest membership fee, and holds swim competitions against other clubs, on a local, state and regional level. If you're a swimmer, and would like to swim against the best, call to find out how you can join the Metro Aquatic Club.Swimming Lessons (Ages 3-5)
This course is designed to help children, ages 3-5, become comfortable in and around the water. This class provides parents with information and techniques to help orient their children to the water and to supervise later activities in a safe manner.A parent or guardian is required in the water with each child. Basic skills are learned first. Once learned, the instructor will build on them to increase the child's endurance and teach new aquatic skills appropriate for the child's age and readiness.

Track & Field
Since 1969, Miami-Dade Parks has offered young athletes a complete track and field program.
Each year, about 1,500 girls and boys ages 6-17 participate in track and field which includes sprints, relays, hurdles, race walking, long jumps, high jumps, discus, javelin and shot put. The program is free and is available at 32 parks throughout Miami-Dade County.
The athletes test their skills in meets among the 32 parks and in region competitions with other track clubs from Broward and Palm Beach counties. The top 150 athletes from Miami-Dade Parks' general program are invited to join the Metro-Dade Track Club, competing in state and national meets, including the USA Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships and the USA National Junior Olympics.Youth Sports Leagues

Adapted Aquatics

Established in 1978 under the leadership of former amateur and professional boxer Dwaine Simpson, the Miami-Dade Parks Amateur Boxing Program has introduced thousands to the Olympic sport.The program is offered to participants from ten years of age and older and is geared to teach boxing for physical fitness and for competition, if desired. We also provide a Women in Boxing Program for those interested. Approximately 70% participate only for exercise and conditioning. Over 13,000 members have registered in our amateur boxing program. Only 2% of our participants choose to become professional boxers. When they do, we see that they are directed toward the proper management and training.
The Tropical Park Boxing Center and the 27th Avenue Boxing Center are both fully staffed and equipped to teach the fundamentals of amateur boxing. Each center has qualified coaches and equipment to satisfy all amateur participants.

Wake Boarding
Wakeboarding is one of the most exhilarating and popular extreme water sports around and it's making a splash at Amelia Earhart Park. The 91-acre crystal blue lake offers the thrill of flying on water with Wakeboarding, Waterskiing, Knee Boarding and Bare Footing lessons taught by champion coaches of the Miami Wakeboard Cable Complex. Open to novices and the experienced, for kids and adults; all equipment and gear is provided. Fees vary.Kite Boarding
The sandy white beaches at Matheson Hammock Park and Crandon Park are great places to relax, play and swim; and their waters are prime spots for Kite-Boarding. Matheson's active breezes and calm, shallow bayside waters make launching easy. It's a great beach for beginner, or those who simply enjoy a peaceful practice session. Crandon's open ocean and waves offer challenging sails for wind warriors. Equipment rentals and lessons are offered at the beachside water sports concessions.Mountain Biking
Mountain Biking at Amelia Earhart Park will take you off the beaten path and onto a woodland mountain-bike trail that's 5.5 miles of tracks with challenging slopes and runs. Bike as long as you want; access to the trails is free.Parking fee: $7.00 (only on weekends)
Sport Shooting
Experience the shooting sports at the Trail Glades Sport Shooting Range, just minutes from the turnpike at Tamiami Trail and Chrome Ave. The range offers a 35-position, 7-to-50-yard pistol range; a 32 position, 25-to-100-yard rifle range; six trap-and-skeet fields, which include a five-stand operation station; one international skeet field; and 50-yard practical range with 6-to-8 positions.Also offered, are safe shooter classes and range accommodations for law enforcement groups. Fees vary.
Paintball
Homestead Air Reserve Park offers the adrenalin pumping action-adventure sport of Paintball. Whether you're a first-timer or a veteran competitor hooked on that Technicolor crossfire, the professionals who operate the park's Family Paintball Center, offer a complete paintballing experience for players ages 8 and up.The two outdoor fields are equipped with inflatable bunkers for tactical maneuvers, and all-inclusive play packages that provide all the necessary gear, including a mask, paintball pistol, hopper, chest protector, paintballs, and choice of CO2 or pressurized-air tank. Participants also receive basic instruction and safety tips prior to play
Skateboarding
Skateboarding is fun and one of the fastest growing sports offering a moderate cardio workout. Experience the adrenalin rush and learn new tricks at Miami-Dade Parks outdoor skate parks complete with ramps for various skill levels. Kids under 18 must bring a signed waiver.
