Michael Mastrucci joined the office in 2012 and currently handles both litigation and transactional matters. As a litigator, Michael practices in the Taxation and Finance section, serving as counsel to the offices of the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser and Tax Collector on various matters related to ad valorem taxation. As a transactional attorney, Michael handles various real estate, development, and financing matters, including representing the County in its municipal bond offerings and in other matters related to County bond programs.
In addition, Michael practices in the Governmental Affairs section, where he assists with the County's lobbying effort before the Florida Legislature in Tallahassee and also works with the Board of County Commissioners and staff, the Mayor's Office and various County Departments to provide legal advice and prepare and review ordinances and resolutions to carry out the Board's policy directives.
Prior to joining the office, Michael practiced with the law firm of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where he specialized in complex medical malpractice and products liability defense litigation.
