Prior Experience

James "Eddie" Kirtley, Jr. joined the Miami-Dade County Attorney's Office in 2013. Eddie is a member of the land use section, handling a wide variety of matters relating to comprehensive planning and zoning. He also provides counsel to the County's Zoning and Historic Preservation Boards, in addition to the Board of County Commissoners. Previously, Eddie was in private practice for 5 years litigating federal class action cases, municipal government actions, First and Fifth Amendment cases, and Indian tribe lawsuits. Eddie also clerked for a federal district judge before joining this office.
