Eduardo Gonzalez is a member of the County Attorney's Office Commercial Section. Eduardo's areas of responsibility and knowledge include the County's contract procurement processes, the legal requirements for public construction projects and Building Code compliance issues. He has analyzed and negotiated contracts for the County, analyzed and opined on the legal sufficiency of competitive contract solicitations and represented the County in administrative bid protest proceedings. He has represented the County and the Public Health Trust of Miami-Dade County in contract disputes and construction cases in federal and state courts and in commercial arbitrations. Eduardo also has experience in representing the County in federal civil rights cases, employment discrimination cases, tort cases and election law cases.
Since joining the County Attorney's Office, Eduardo has obtained jury verdicts favorable to the County on several cases including construction litigation and employment discrimination cases. Eduardo has successfully defended appeals before the Third District Court of Appeals. Eduardo also has extensive experience in bid protest and debarment administrative hearings.
Eduardo has been recognized by his peers as a Florida Legal Elite Government Attorney in Florida Trends Magazine and a "Top Government Attorney" in the South Florida Legal Guide.
