Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day set for April 11
Miami-Dade County's largest community cleanup of Biscayne Bay and other waterways to mobilize over 5,000 volunteers across 33 sites
On April 11, 2026, Miami-Dade County’s Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) will host its 44th annual Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day, the County’s largest communitywide cleanup of Biscayne Bay and other waterways. Thousands of volunteers are expected to gather across 33 sites, which for the first time will cover all 13 County districts.
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and District 4 Commissioner Micky Steinberg will attend the VIP cleanup site at Haulover Beach.
Other members of the Board of County Commissioners will attend the following sites in their districts:
- District 2 Commissioner Marleine Bastien: Little River Park
- District 5 Commissioner Vicki L. Lopez: E.G. Sewell Park
- District 6 Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis: A.D. Barnes Park
- District 8 Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins: Blackpoint Marina
- District 12 Commissioner Juan Carlos “JC” Bermudez: Central West Basin Linear Park
