Income-qualifying homeowners living in certain Miami-Dade neighborhoods can get financial assistance to bring their home local and state building codes.
You can get help with painting and hurricane shuttering your home.
Income-qualifying homeowners can get help with the hardening or retrofitting of their homes, particularly to protect against a hurricane.
Senior Services
Seniors with limited mobility can receive free meals at home through the Meals on Wheels program or at various senior centers.
Adult Day Care offers various types of therapy, meals and other health and social support services as part of a structured, comprehensive program.

Provides free nutritionally balanced meals to children 18 years of age and under.
Available substance abuse treatment programs include residential treatment, homeless assistance and inmate counseling.
Eligible veterans, as well as their children, parents, families and widows, can get help with claims made with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
DSAIL provides assistance to Miami-Dade residents with disabilities ages 18 to 59.
Free computer training and computer repair classes are available for income-eligible residents.

About Us
We provide comprehensive social services to individuals and families over the course of the full lifetime spectrum, from before birth to the elderly. Services are designed and coordinated to address and relieve hardships associated with poverty. The service delivery model is strongly client-centered and comprised of many direct services to meet the needs of the entire family.
Our major goals are to end homelessness; stabilize home occupancy; minimize hunger; reduce the need for institutionalization of the elderly; improve access to abuse prevention, intervention and support services; ensure that all individuals 18 years and older (including foster care and juvenile youths) are work ready; ensure that all children are school ready through the Head Start/Early Head Start program; and increase the self-sufficiency of vulnerable residents and special populations.
