Platting

The Plat Committee convenes weekly and is comprised of representatives from several Miami-Dade County Departments and State Agencies.

Waiver of plats within areas of unincorporated Miami-Dade County that have an approval recommendation from the Plat Committee along with final plats that have an active approved tentative plat and comply with all the administrative requirements, are placed on the next available Miami-Dade County Commissioners’ agenda. The waiver of plat becomes a legal buildable site 10 days after the approval of the Miami-Dade County Commission.

Plat Committee Meetings

The Plat Committee meets every Friday at 9 a.m. in room 18-3 of the Stephen P. Clark Government Center. The meeting is also available virtually. Interested parties may participate by:

• Registering in advance online for, and log on to, a Zoom webinar
• If you cannot attend online, register, and you will receive a dial-in number

Voice messages or emails read into the record shall not exceed two minutes. If you leave a voice message or email, include your name, address and the Plat Committee item you wish to address. If you have any questions or require additional information regarding the virtual meeting, call Raul Pino at 305-375-2112.

After the meeting occurs, it may also viewed online and final Plat Committee results will be posted in the Daily Business Review and online.

Note: During the week of Thanksgiving, meetings are held on Wednesday. When holidays fall on Friday, meetings are held on Thursday.

Plat Status Search

A history of the submittal with the action taken, along with items that must resolved for approval. When both a tentative plat is approved and final plat has been submitted, an option is given to view the final punch list.

Final plats become legal buildable site once they receive approval from the Miami-Dade County Commission and are recorded in the public records of Miami-Dade County.
