About Miami-Dade Police Department
Headquartered in Doral, Florida, Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) is the largest police department in the Southeast, and the 8th largest in the United States. With a workforce of more than 3,000 sworn officers and over 1,000 civilian staff, MDPD provides countywide and sheriff services to a diverse multi-ethnic and racial population of over 2.4 million people in an area covering over 2,400 square miles.
