The Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute & Research Center (MDPSTIRC) classrooms are available for use free of charge to partner agencies- Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation (MDCR), and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).
Partner agencies may not make reservations on behalf of outside agencies. However, the classrooms are available for rental to other local and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as to all branches of the U.S. military. The MDPSTIRC currently offers six academic classrooms for use and rental.
Classrooms 401, 402, 403, and 404
These classrooms are nearly identical in size, orientation, furnishings and equipment. They feature comfortable independent seating for a maximum of 44 students, an instructor's computer station, an 84" Smart Board screen, storage, and two entrances/exits. These classrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Lecture Room 2 (LR2)
This is a raised auditorium-style lecture room featuring 48 fixed-position workstation with fold away desktops. The room also features an integrated Smart Board screen and podium. This room is not wheelchair accessible.
Classroom 706-B
This classroom is similar to the 400-series classrooms, but is located in the Institute’s Survival City area. It has an 84" Interactive Smart Board System. This classroom is wheelchair accessible.
