Qjuezari Harvey

A native of Miami, Florida, Qjuezari Harvey grew up in South Florida and attended Nova Southeastern University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in Management. In addition, Ms. Harvey is a licensed real estate agent with a great interest in helping her community.

Outside of academia and her family, what matters the most to Ms. Harvey is her community. Throughout her career, she has spearheaded several projects in higher education. She has engaged and collaborated with students involved in leadership and civic engagement at Nova Southeastern University and she has organized financial education workshops for churches and non-profit organizations.

Ms. Harvey feels that historically there has been a miscommunication when it comes to policy making that affects her community. Through her advocacy efforts, Ms. Harvey is attempting to improve communication in her community so that policy makers can better understand her community’s needs and help promote what she calls ‘growth in policies.’ One of her ‘growth in policy’ goals is to eliminate blight in communities through new partnerships, which she hopes will help to protect all communities and bring a helping hand where needed.

As a new Trust member, Ms. Harvey plans to use her ability to analyze businesses to provide strategic solutions that will help to improve the County’s transit and transportation systems.

Ms. Harvey has been appointed to represent Miami-Dade County Commission District 3 on the Trust.
