2017/18 Transportation Summit

“Implementing the community’s vision for public transportation in Miami-Dade County”

The Citizens' Independent Transportation Trust (CITT) hosted the 2017/18 Transportation Summit on January 25 and 26, 2018 at Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus. The theme of the 2017/18 summit was "Implementing the Community's Vision for Public Transportation," and featured keynote addresses by:

• Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez
• Chairman Esteban L. Bovo, Jr.
• Mayor Oliver Gilbert

Commissioner Dennis C. Moss and Local 10 Political Reporter Michael Putney served as Masters of Ceremonies.

The summit program featured sessions on a number of issues related to public transportation including Transit Oriented Development, Innovative Financing, the SMART Plan, Livable Communities and a Technology Report from the Fastrack Institute.

This event is organized by the Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust in conjunction with Miami-Dade County, the Board of County Commissioners, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Miami-Dade County League of Cities, Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization and the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority.
