Strategic Objectives FY 2023-24

The Transportation Trust continues to have an essential role and mission in the financing, oversight and improvement of transportation and public transit in Miami-Dade County.

The development of “Strategic Objectives” by the Trust is an important component in achieving this essential role and mission.

Project and Financial Review
Objectives call for review and oversight of expenditures of surtax funds and maintenance of capital equipment.

Strategic and Financial Planning
Identifies innovative funding solutions and provides corridor support for the projects in the SMART Plan. Develop and update the 5 Year Implementation Plan.

Municipal Coordination
Manage and coordinate the PTP Municipal Transportation Program for the thirty-four (34) municipalities eligible to receive PTP funds.

Audit and Financial Management
Seeks to prioritize and enhance the Trusts’ financial management capabilities to ensure that surtax funds are fully and properly accounted for and managed by the respective user groups.

Community Outreach
Manage a comprehensive and proactive community outreach and communications program focused on Trust accomplishments, initiatives and advancements.
