Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute & Research Center (MDPSTIRC) gymnasium is available for use free of charge to partner agencies - Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation (MDCR), and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). 

Partner agencies may not make reservations on behalf of outside agencies. However, the gym is available for rental to other local and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as to all branches of the U.S. military.

MDPSTIRC's gymnasium features:

• a full-size basketball court,
• also set up for half-court play,
• retractable bleacher seating, and
• electronic scoreboard. 

In addition, the gym is equipped with:

• climbing ropes,
• defensive tactics training mats, and
• protective vinyl floor coverings, making the gymnasium suitable for a wide variety of training and physical conditioning activities.
