International Trade Consortium welcomes inbound delegation from the Canary Islands, Spain
A delegation from the regional government cabinet of the Canary Islands visited Miami-Dade County to strengthen ties and explore new partnerships as part of their participation in the 2024 Seatrade Cruise Global. The key objective of their visit is to promote tourism and trade between the Canary Islands and Miami-Dade County.
About Us
Established in November of 2002, the International Trade Consortium office reports to the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners and provides staff support to the consortium – an advisory board of 14 member organizations from public and private sectors of economic development agencies in the community and 16 appointees from the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
The ITC office works closely with Miami-International Airport (MIA) and PortMiami, as well as other partners including foreign diplomatic and trade offices, bi-national chambers of commerce, economic development organizations and local, state and federal government agencies. The office, the consortium and its 14 member organizations and 16 appointees work together to advise County elected officials on international trade issues and help advance the County’s trade efforts worldwide.
As primary liaison to the diplomatic community, the International Trade Consortium office plans the County's official outbound trade and business development missions; supports inbound trade and visiting delegations and manages the Sister Cities program of Miami-Dade County.
